Meet The Team

Hi, I’m Sholeh Munion, CMP.

Owner & Founder of Sholeh Events

I’ve been helping clients turn their dreams into reality for over 20 years. With a dual degree in Management and Marketing and a certification in Professional Meeting and Event Planning, I bring the perfect balance of creativity, organization, and heartfelt care to every event.

I’m a networker and connector of people, a supporter of small businesses and under-represented communities. My mission is to make events accessible to everyone, while acknowledging that they can be complex and challenging.

My background is in non-profit and corporate events, and I am one of the rare planners who has a wide range of expertise: from weddings to galas, board meetings to youth gatherings. I’ve seen it all and I love to solve problems for my clients. My approach is people-centric and rooted in ethics, joy, and professionalism.

When I’m not planning events, I’m spending time with my husband and two daughters, serving my local community, reading (104 books last year!), baking, exploring nature and camping, or traveling. My name means “Flame”. I’ve visited 45 states and nine countries, and my love for new experiences inspires the care and thoughtfulness I bring to every event.

Lead Planners

Sara

With over 20 years of experience turning moments into memories, I’ve worn many hats—from radio marketer to photographer to now, Lead Planner at Sholeh Events. Originally from New Hampshire and now based in Chicago, I bring a warm, thoughtful touch to every story we help tell. When I’m not celebrating events, I’m soaking up life’s little joys—singing, traveling, and chasing around my sweet 3-year-old with my husband by my side.

I’ve led virtual, in-person, and hybrid events across healthcare, media and entertainment, education, tech, and finance—adapting with ease, creativity, and a strong marketing lens.

My portfolio ranges from large-scale concerts with A-list artists to confidential investor meetings and educational symposiums focused on diversity and inclusion. From strategic planning to AV production, I bring both technical know-how and a people-first approach to every detail.

I’m passionate about meeting clients where they are and creating events that feel seamless, meaningful, and impactful.

Chayla

For 10+ years, I managed venue operations and events at the Newberry Library, where I led cross-functional teams, implemented systems, and supported thousands of events - from galas to tech-driven programs to community-centered events. I bring both structure and a soul to every celebration.

I approach events like ecosystems — where success is built on structure, adaptability, and thoughtful flow. I’ve worked behind the scenes and out front — building timelines, managing logistics, and helping clients stay present  - always with an eye for detail and a heart for people. Whether assisting or leading the day myself, I’m known for calm coordination, heartfelt touches, and a deep respect for the moments that matter.

Leading multi-department teams, streamlining workflows, and troubleshooting tech setups on the fly, I bring calm precision and people-first planning to every event. My work is rooted in clarity, collaboration, and the belief that even the most complex gatherings can feel seamless and intentional.
