βI canβt stress this enough β what makes Sholeh truly special and unique is the way she tailors her support to fit each coupleβs specific needs, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all package like many others do.β
Jessica CarbinoβSholeh was so kind and organized, went through our plans to make sure we werenβt forgetting anything, gave advice on how to streamline issues, and helped with so many behind-the-scenes details on the day.β

βSholeh played a pivotal role in making sure our big day went smoothly! Her organization skills, along with the tools she provided, streamlined the entire planning process. She managed all tasks and timelines with ease, both before and during the wedding, and working with her was an absolute delight! We truly couldn't have managed without her. She's simply the best!β
JoAnn NeenanβHiring Sholeh Events was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! From our first meeting with Sholeh, she made us feel so taken care of. She spent so much time getting to know us, listening to every little detail and piece of inspiration we shared, and somehow turned all of that into a wedding day that felt like pure magic.β

Here's what working together actually looks like.
From your first planning call to the last vendor follow-up, every step is designed to take the logistics off your plate.
No dropped details, no last-minute scrambles, and no managing your own wedding day.
Step 1: Kickoff Call and Planning Toolkit
After you book, we sit down together and map out what your planning process is going to look like.
You leave with a Google Drive-based planning toolkit and a planner who already knows your priorities.
Step 2: Planning Meetings and Ongoing Support
We meet regularly, at whatever pace your timeline calls for.
Planning stops feeling like a second job because someone else is tracking all the moving pieces.
Step 3: Day-of Details Document
As the wedding gets closer, we build a detailed document shared with every vendor.
By the time it is done, you stop thinking about logistics and start thinking about the day.
Step 4: Wedding Day Coordination
We are on-site from setup through teardown.
You show up as a guest at your own wedding, not a coordinator.
Step 5: Post-Wedding Wrap-Up:
After the big day, we follow up with vendors, tie up loose ends, and share your gallery with the team.
The experience has a clean finish, not a to-do list.

Yes! All of our packages include rehearsal coordination. We walk your wedding party through the processional and recessional, explain timing and cues, answer questions, and make sure everyone feels confident and comfortable for the big day. If you are marrying at a house of worship with staff, we collaborate with them.

Yes! As an experienced Chicagoland wedding planner, have planned weddings of all types and specialize in multicultural, multi-faith, and fusion celebrations, including Persian, Bahaβi, interfaith, and cross-cultural ceremonies. Diversity and inclusion are very important to me and my goal is to ensure an authentic and loving experience. Yes. Few people realize that the venue coordinator is there to see to the best interests of the venue. An independent Chicagoland wedding planner works exclusively for you, focuses on your details, coordinating with other vendors, and problem-solving if something comes up, to ensure your entire day runs smoothly beyond the venueβs walls.

I am currently listed as a preferred planner at a number of venues in Chicago and Naperville, including the Morton Arboretum, The Crawford, Naper Settlement, and more. However, I have worked at dozens of venues over the years (in many states!) and truly believe that a good planner can manage anywhere.

I would say that most of my clients range between $20,000-$200,000. But I donβt place limits in either direction.

Yes. We stay until the end of every wedding.

While we do set up personal items such as your card box, escort cards, welcome signs, and other small items, we do not decorate. Any decorations that a florist or decorator would normally set up would need to be set up by those professionals.
-
Absolutely. We coordinate and assist with the room flip so your ceremony space is transformed smoothly into your reception space while youβre off enjoying cocktail hour. The vendors that you have hired will ensure that tables, chairs, and decorative elements are moved.
-
Always. We proudly celebrate love in all forms and create inclusive, affirming spaces for every couple. We are allies, but if you prefer to get support from your community, we can refer some great planners and other vendors! Just ask.
