50th World Series of the National Beep Baseball Association
Behind the scenes of every seamless event, there’s a labyrinth of logistics—and sometimes, those logistics help make history.
Our team at Sholeh Events recently had the distinct honor of serving as the primary logistics team for a monumental milestone: the 50th World Series of the National Beep Baseball Association (NBBA), August 3 - 8, 2026.
Since 1976, the NBBA has been bringing the adaptive version of America’s favorite pastime to blind, low-vision, and legally blind athletes across the nation. Celebrating five decades of empowerment, athletic brilliance, and community required an event infrastructure just as extraordinary as the players on the field.
Orchestrating a Historic Tournament
Pulling off an event of this scale takes a village. We worked side-by-side with the NBBA Tournament Committee, Discover DuPage, Enjoy Aurora, and an army of over 100 incredible volunteers who poured their hearts into making the week unforgettable. We started the planning process in March 2026, and the logistics continued throughout the entire week.
While the athletes delivered unforgettable moments on the field, our job was to ensure everything ran like clockwork for six days:
Site Infrastructure: Coordinating sprawling tent setups to keep 21 teams, staff, and spectators cool and protected.
Mobility & Operations: Managing a fleet of golf carts to keep transport smooth across the venue, assist those with mobility issues, and ensure that no one was left behind.
Communication: Equipping staff and volunteers with seamless radio networks for real-time coordination.
Local Flavor: Partnering with food trucks and local vendors to keep energy high and spectators fed all week long.
Health and Safety: Injuries are common at sports tournaments, and we had multiple ambulance calls and other injuries that needed to be managed with a comprehensive emergency plan and medical team with first aid kits.
HQ: Daily setups and teardowns, refilling water and ice at each field, volunteer check in & out, and crisis management.
A Cause Worth Celebrating
Beep Baseball is more than just a sport - it's a testament to inclusion, fierce competition, and community spirit. Watching these athletes command the field was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.
